Appalachian Institute H.E.S.S. Mentoring Program (Help Enrich Someone Special)

The HESS Mentoring program brings Middle school and High School students from local Wheeling schools to WU each Wednesday. Through the program each middle and high school student is paired with a Wheeling University student mentor. Together mentors and mentees spend time getting to know each other, doing educational activities, helping with homework and having fun! The HESS Mentoring program provides each participant the opportunity to grow and develop intellectually, socially and physically. HESS is made possible each year thanks to the funding and support of the Hess Family Foundation. The HESS program has been around since 2003 and continues its great legacy at WU today.
